Wedding: St. Augustine's Church
St. Augustine's is directly across University Avenue from the UF football stadium. It's been around since 1922 and caters to the UF community. Father Gillespie, who will be officiating our wedding, has been the pastor of St. Augustine's since 1981. Here are directions and a Google Map. They have plenty of parking behind the church.
Reception: Keene Faculty Center
The KFC is in Dauer Hall, a recently restored historic building on UF's main campus. It has lots of nice dark wood and two-story arched windows on the North and South walls. Do take a look at the pictures. It's also just a couple blocks south of St. Augustine's, which means it's a very easy walk to the reception. Here are directions and a map. There is parking available around Dauer hall and it's an easy walk from the church. Once you've parked, you won't need to move your car again.
Rehearsal Dinner: Matheson Museum
The Matheson Historical Center is in the old American Legion Hall on East University Avenue across from Kirby Smith School (My old elementary school for Kindergarten and First Grade. It's now the home of the Alachua County School Board.). I took dance lessons there when I was around 4 years old and remember the Legion as the premier place to go if you wanted to see punk rock concerts back in the 1980's. While the building was pretty downtrodden then, it is now nicely restored. Directions can be found at the bottom of the Museum's info page and here's a Google Map.
